"I need a boyfriend. For the weekend."
Type A Madison Hudson has spent the last six years working toward the nutritionist position that’s almost in her grasp. She’s got the qualifications, the schooling, the perfect resume; all that’s left is to impress her future boss. Something a white lie about an imaginary boyfriend can achieve.
Computer nerd Eric Ward usually stays away from drama. But when his sister's roommate needs a boyfriend for a night, he can’t find an excuse to say no. How hard can one evening be? Pity no one told him what a knockout his fake girlfriend would be.
How long before their little white lie turns into a whole lot more than these two planned for?

“You must be my girlfriend,” he said in the same deep voice she’d heard moments before.
For the life of her, Madison couldn’t come up with a single word in response.

Y'all, I don't think I'll ever get tired of the "fake dating" trope. I just LOVEEEEEE seeing all those "fake feelings" turn into something absolutely beautiful and real; which is exactly what happened with Madison and Eric!! #swoonnnnnn 😍
Also, the fact that they both weren't expecting much from each other (mostly concerning looks), just added a little something extra to the story. That might seem kind of weird, lol, but I really liked it. 🤷♀️
Let's bring out thoseeeeee quotes/lines!!
“I figured, if he thought I was in a committed relationship, he’d see me as a reliable employee.”
“Don’t you think he’s going to question your reliability—not to mention your mental stability—when he finds out you made the whole thing up?”

📖
“How am I doing, snookums ?” Eric whispered in her ear. His warm breath surprised her, and all her thoughts about the job vanished.
📖
Had she really just said that? She wasn’t dating anyone. And she definitely didn’t have a boyfriend she talked about having children with.
📖
“I mean, there was this one guy that lived in the apartment next to me in Dallas that still owes me fifty bucks. So, I could move back there in hopes of getting that one day.”
📖
She wondered, for the hundredth time, how he was still single.
